Big plane auction comming up in western new York area.

OK guys, I just got this flyer in the mail yesterday.
Starman Brothers in having a big aution in Cowlesville NY, near Buffalo.
They have oodles and oodles of light planes and parts for sale. Most are Pipers, J-3's, 5's, 12's and a couple of E-2's, but they have 4 Chiefs, a 7KCAB and a couple of Huskys.
Most of all, are the parts, engines and accessories, wings, cowlings, wheels, props, fuel tanks and control surfaces that are listed.

I've been to one of their auctions like this about 6 or 7 years ago just north of St Paul MN, and they kept 2 auctioneers busy for two whole days. I picked up a few parts I was looking for but most were snaped up by others who were quicker in the bidding. Don Jones from Guam was there and he took home quite a few parts himself.

This might be a good place for the guys in the northeast to pick up some parts or projects.

I have been to Gordon Fishers airport. It was a very nice private strip with alot of nice aircraft. Gordon rebuilt aircraft, specialized in Cubs. His son took over but became ill. Very nice folks and a first class facility. ALOT of airplanes,wings, parts, etc, on and on. Its just outside of East Arora, NY. Well worth the trip if your looking for a project. JP

I,m going to try to get there. If I can get there I would need some short term storage. Is anyone close? It would take a few weeks to make plans to get stuff moved to the West Coast.

you might try Dart Airport in Mayville, N.Y. They may have room. Its approx. 50 miles from the auction site. Or possibly Clarence airport in Clarence, N.Y. (Closer) JP
