Aeronca Drawings needed

Does anyone know where to see a copy of certain Aeronca Drawings that are listed in the Type Certificate Data Sheets like Fire Extingusher Installation DWG 7-442 and Special Window DWG 7-576, Parking Brake Installation DWG 7-443. Does American Champion Aircraft offer these for sale (or free). Any tips would be grateful.

I have all three drawings. Sorry for not being on the forum in a while, my main computer died and have been trying to build a new one and do everything off of the laptop and blackberry.

Joe, have you guys tried www.dropbox.com? I have been very pleased with the free(up to 2 gig) program. You can move large files between computers easily. Brian M. has a good way to transfer large files thru his website. David J.

Thanks Guys....I'll try Aeronca.com to see if they are available. Does American Champion offer any tech support to the older 7AC (since they do own the Type Certificate)? I wish aircraft companys would offer better assistance with manuals than they currently do. Anyway life goes on...

ACAC will sell most assembly drawings and sometimes a production drawing for a part they do not make. Most drawings I have purchased were $50.00 each. Kinda have to need it bad at that price. But they have been very helpful. Chad in parts is the one to talk to. I have bought lots of small parts that are the same thru all the models, and the small stuff has been very reasonable. David J.

I know but still, we are very lucky that the Aeronca factory deeded the type certificates for the early Aeronca's and all of their old blueprints for the pre-war, wartime and Chief and Champs to the NAA. Also very nice that ACA is allowing us to help everyone with these blueprints!

Can you imagine what it would be like if we were having to pay $50 a blueprint as is happening on the later model airplanes? That would really hurt the budget!

Yes and no. Now we just have to get Tater to get his Champ finished!

Thanks for the support and if you guys are happy with what we do here, please support the NAA. What we do is "pro-bono" in other words we are all volunteers, but still have to keep the organization alive and healthy. We need you guys to stay alive and vice versa.

We all are pulling for Tater and Kelley and the little ones. He has actually made some progress on his spars, before the birthing. On a lighter note, we are looking for a soap on a rope for Tater as a present. Going to drill an appropriate sized hole in it and turn him loose! David J.
