Delivered A-OK around 4:30p. Everyone well and in good spirits. Nate said they were healthy enough to not even need the steady oxygen service from a canula.

Thanks guys! As the clock ticked down; I started to lose it, while Kelley kept it together like a seasoned pro.

The girls are doing GREAT! In fact better than any of us had expected! They're breathing on their own with no help from the Cpap or O2.

Madelyn Carol Hammond
4lbs 13oz.
17"
4:31pm

Kendall Reese Hammond
4lbs 10oz.
16-1/4"
4:32pm

Kelley is doing good; handling the pain well and enjoying "the button." She got to see the girls for about 30 minutes in the NICU before going off to her recovery room.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers everyone!

Congratulations--no sleep--will need a four place airplane--Champ for sale? You will always brag and be broke for a while but you will enjoy every minute of it--although you won't admit it. Then you will have to grade the boy firends--but when that is over you will still be proud. In the meantime you will have to do alot of smiley faces in the air and on paper...Congratulations DAD..Then as a granddad you start allover again..

Nathan:
Congratulations to you, your wife and the girls. As a "recovering obstetrician" (quitted delivering babies 8 years ago), I have being following the course of the pregnancy, aware that twins can give us unexpected surprises. Our prayers have been with you and your loved ones. God bless all of you.

Thanks everyone! Kelley and the girls are still doing great; but will stay in the NICU for the next couple weeks. We've been going 48 hours straight from the excitement. Kelley got to hold them for the first time today.

Doug, I haven't heard it put any better.

Hey everyone.

Was just advised of some news. Do not want to go into it but Nathan and Kelley are having some problems.

If you believe in God and pray, the four of them could sure use some help right now.

Please do not ask as I am not going to go into any details but please include them in your prayers.

No sense trying to hide from it. We brought the girls home on Saturday and had 2 wonderful days of ignorant bliss before learning they both have Cystic Fibrosis. The last couple days have been real tough; reading up and talking with the docs.

Feels like a roller coaster that never goes up.

Nathan,

There is no need to hide from anything my friend. We are all simply blown away for something, anything that is not 100% positive to happen to you and Kelley with the girls. We were and are all very happy that the pregnancy and delivery went well, only now to have problems.

God does not give us anything in our lives that we cannot handle, but it may not seem that way at the time. Keep looking ahead and know that there is a reason for this. We do not know what it is right now but there is.

You have the entire Aeronca community pulling for you, Kelley and the girls, so this will work out. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help...

Joe
