Battery Powered Transponder?

Aircraft electrical systems. Generators, both engine and wind driven. Other electrical systems, wiring, fuses, lighting and so on.

Glad to hear it, Joe. Did you get the MRX? I've heard some good reviews of it. I especially like the fact that it's got its own battery power. I'd have to plug the XRX into a battery pack, but I do like the feature that shows which direction to look for the traffic. These devices are significant advances in affordable technology and should make for good discussion. I did a search of the forum and didn't find any related threads so I'll start a new one.

Jim,

I got the trafficscope tpas vrx model.

Yes it will run on batteries but they do not last very long, so I plugged it into the ships power and it works fine.
