0200 Installation/L16

I have my 0200 engine at Bolduc getting the case and bottom end rebuilt but thinking about and hoping to start the installation sometime this winter with the Wagner STC. Regarding the baffles: is it possible to use (modify) the Cessna 150 baffling that came with the engine or do I need to go with completely different baffling? I do have a new set of Wag Aero baffling that came with the project I suspect it's for an A65 but haven't looked at it that carefully. The Wagner STC is 'non-explicit', to say the least (install engine baffles or build an exact copy using .025 aluminum) which pretty much describes the whole STC. Don't get me wrong, I like the loose wording but doesn't tell me much. I'm unsure if I have the metal working talent to build all new baffles but suppose if I have to, I have to.

Anyway, wondering if anyone on this site has ran into the situation. I'm kind of looking ahead as I'm ready to shoot the last coat of primer on my last wing and ready to finish with the paint shortly.

Mike,
I would use the baffles from the C85. They may differ around the mount holes, for sure if you use the Lord mounts. Maybe if you use the tapered adapters.

I have both sets of mounts but I think I'll use the tapered adapters. Mostly to pick up a little extra clearance for my Sky-Tec starter as I'm also using the short mount.
One thing I've noticed is the conical mount rubbers still haven't improved over the past years. Some have said the Superiors were less prone to cracking. Doesn't seem to hurt anything but they sure look like h---!!

I just finished putting a C85 with an O-200 conversion on my Champ. I got new baffles from Wag-Aero but had to modify (i.e., "correct") quite a number of the baffles since they did not come close to fitting properly. In the end, it looks great! Waiting for the Champ to get out of the paint shop and have not had a chance to run the engine yet.

I don't think WA sells the C85 Baffles. The last set I got from them for a A65 were made from some kind of junk aluminum. My guess it was 6061-O it cracked up real quick. For the price they get for them they should be better.
