Hi Dan, I'm not sure if Champion ever put out a different service manual than the original 7AC manual. Todd Trainer has a web site on which you can download the manuals for the airframe and engine.

http://www.aeronca.com/manuals/

Aeronca never published any information on take off and landing distance numbers like more modern planes. Some operating information is in the 7AC service manual, plus drawings and hardware lists are there. If you plan on keeping your plane and learning about it, you should get the service manual, the Continental A-65 manual and the manuals for the carb and mags you have. I can't remember where I bought my manuals, but I know they can be found at the Aeronca Aviators Club and other places.

Good luck with your new plane and post some pictures when you get a chance.

If your looking for the airframe manual then the 7AC Service Manual is the one you want. It has drawings of the airframe and it's parts, like fuselage, wings, tail group and landing gear. It also has maintenance information and some flight info, if I remember correctly.

Dan,

The manuals are here: http://aeroncapilots.com/NAAStore.htm

Buying them here helps support the bulletin board, so when/if you order them please let them know you found them here.

Danny,
Welcome to the site. There is tons of information at your finger tips on the pages of this forum and years of wisdom to go along with it. I am in the process of restoring a L-16A and have found this place to be of great help. Lots of folks to ask questions of and learn from the best.
Enjoy your new bird,
Jeff
