I saw the airplane at the NBAA event last week and it looked nice. Cannot wait to see how they fly.

Since those engines are basically a gyro and that engine strut has vertical extension--I'll bet the wings and attach points will take a beating in extreme turbulence. Yes, I know you are supposed to avoid it but SXXX happens. Unique design, but questionable--practicle. Having experienced extreme turbulence in those machines (Metro is not always fright) I would not even spend my wifes money on one.

Is there a meaningful difference between those extensions and the pylons used to suspend the engines from every Boeing since the B-47?

Charles,

My idea was that this is just an engine cantilevered out on a pylon. Above and behind the wing, as opposed to below and in front. The thought being that whether it is in front or back, above or below, it is still an engine suspended away from the wing and the turbulence issues mentioned by Doug/Grumps shouldn't be any better or worse on the Honda than on countless Boeings.

Thoughts?

Doug, did I miss something about your point?
