McCauley prop for sale

Post by Richard »

Does anyone need a McCauley prop 1a170dm7651. Fits on Aeronca sedans, 170's and early 172's. My son's Stinson, has a franklin that started making lots of metal and there are not any crankshafts available. We are going to put a cont O-470 on it instead.

Richard,
I have a 220 Franklin crank on the shelf. It's a complete unknown, I picked it up in a trade.

Paul,
The 220 crank will work, but the prop bolt pattern is different. I'd be interested to see if it was serviceable. I need a cam also for 165 h.p. Franklin.

Thank you Richard

Joe,
The prop has about 270 hrs spoh. according to the yellow tag in 1994 and the engine time.
It seems to be in good condition with no nicks.
I'd like $1000.

Thanks Richard

Richard,
Let me know how you want to proceed with this. I'd like to get $500 for the shaft if it's yellow tag-able. If you need to have me ship it to a shop let me know. If it doesn't pass the muster just pay for the shipping and the shop service.

Paul,
Sounds good to me. I'm away from home flying. Is there a way to check the journals dimensions to see if it it meets specs? The old crank had been ground and was worn past limits.

My cell phone is (509) 539-0736

Thank you
