Goodyear 1500# wheel and brake set for sale

Post by FlyingWrench »

I have a set of hydraulic Goodyear 1500# wheels and brakes for sale. They are off a C-140, but do not know if there is anything compatible with an Aeronca installation. Make an offer. I am cleaning out the hangar. Send me a PM if interested.

Cheers,
Dave

What were these used on and what are you asking?

Usually the 1500 pound versions were on Sedans or Stinsons.

WHoo Hooo!! I have been looking for hydraulic brakes to put on my CHamp since I bought it. Could I get the numbers off the parts to be sure that I will be able to put these on. My IA has the master cylinders and has said he should be able to install them via 337 but I needed to get the parts.
Keith
PS. Could you PM me the Pt. Numbers.

Hmmm, after rereading this I am thinking I need Cleveland parts. Are these the type that need those "unobtainium" pad clips?

Right Keith,
These are Goodyears with the $$$$ clips. They are available (Univair, if I remember correctly) but really pricy. Therre was a guy that was going to make some at one time but no news lately.

Keith,

These are the type that use the "Buttons" to hold the clips in, so are much more stable and long lasting than the original wheels and brakes. Their price will be a lot less than the Cleveland's, or should.

Dave,

Mind giving me an idea what you got for them? I have a set just like them that I may be putting up for sale.

Thx,
