I soloed in a Champ back in 1949 at age 17 and have loved them since. In 1950's while in college (Georgia Tech) I flew the flying club's Champ and in 1958 I did some instructing in Champs in Florida. After many years and some 16,000 flying hours I'm again planning to buy a Champ. Hope to close on one soon, maybe next week. Had been looking for a converted one with electrical system and starter for a long time but haven't found a decent one and have now decided to just get a stock 7AC.
I live in South Florida- (Plantation)
Hope to meet fellow Aeronca fans on this NAA site-

Rudy:
Get a stock 7AC. It is the ever best Champ. But be careful: forget all your 16,000 hrs and relearn from the begining the pleasures of non electrical 1946 aircrafts. Study "Flying the Aeronca" by Robert E. Livingston. If you cannot find it, contact me and I will send you a copy. Congratulations back to the Aeronca Champ!
