I wonder if the Sensenich M76AK-2 propeller with 46 pitch can be used legally on a 11AC Chief.
On the 7AC Champ type certificate (TC-A-759) this propeller is listed as an approved prop for the 7AC, but on the TC-A-761 for the Chief they list only the M74CK. So I searched on Sensenich and they list both propeller under the same TC (TC-1P2) and both are approved for the Continental A65 with exactly the same limitation. The only difference I could notice from the TC is weight (3 lbs. more heavy) and approved max HP (135 vs. 100 for the M74CK).
Would a 337 allow to have it installed since the propeller it is an approved model for the A65 and also the Champ is using it?
Thanks
Miky B.

Re: Sensenich M76AK-2 propeller (question)
If you call East Coast propeller in Lancaster, Penna. They will tell you very quickly. They have a very modern shop, sell Sensenich and McCauley and do prop balancing, repair, etc. etc. I bought a prop from them, and visited the shop. Very impressive! VERY good to deal with. JC
Re: Sensenich M76AK-2 propeller (question)
Is this a wood or metal prop?
If its a wooden prop then if its within size limits as I understand it you can run anything that works within the RPM limits.

Re: Sensenich M76AK-2 propeller (question)
Miky,
There is no reason why we cannot review this for DER approval on your airplane. The A65 engine is on the 76AK approved engine list. We just need to make sure the RPM during a static run will remain within limits. If you would like my support with DER approval give me a call (254)715-4773....Terry Bowden

Re: Sensenich M76AK-2 propeller (question)
Thanks guys for your answer,
JoeA, both propeller (M72AK-2-46 and M74CK-xx) (xx for the pitch) mentioned in my post are metal (aluminum).
I just wonder about the paper work, and why the 7AC type certificate show both as approved prop and the 11AC type certificate just only the M74CK-xx. Firewall forward (engine, prop and accessory) should be exactly the same on 7AC vs. 11AC.
Both propeller are approved for Continental A65, and same length. Also they are in the general limit of the TC (no more of 74 inches and no less of 72.5 inches - Mines is 73 inches long)
from the 7AC T.C. 759 <<<<<<<<<<<<
8. Sensenich M76AK-2 metal propeller with following limitations:
Models 7AC, 7BCM, 7CCM, 7DC
Models 7EC,7FC, 7JC
23 lb.
(-52)
(-54)
(d) (Models 7AC, 7BCM, 7DC)
Static r.p.m. and diameter limits same as for fixed pitch wood propeller under
applicable.

Is there a service letter from AERONCA that I may not be aware of ?
Thanks
