Southeast guys okay?

Post by Nathan K. Hammond »

BIG storms last night and yesterday; everyone okay?

We had a local blast of twisters pass through the area; one went close to Grumps place, another passed 100yds from Dad's strip. News said one passed over the Jasper area, haven't heard from David yet. Dr. Jeff you okay over in Bama?

what a night! Things were bumping here yesterday and thru the night. We came out good but a friend's hanger roof was pulled off. I saw some ariel pics on the local ABC station and his L-16 was still inside, the L3 was out side.

Lots of devestation here and at latest count, 131 lives lost. Please remember these folks in your prayers.

We are OK. As Jeff said, remember the injured and the fatalities. Lots of folks need help today. David J.

This is damage just in our county.

We are ok--one passed just south of us--only damage here was roof shingles, but did find someone elses shingles on the strip and in the yard. 2 1/2 inches of rain in 30 minutes. A real ugly night. Our prayers to those not as fortunate.

The tornado up in the Cartersville area missed my office by a mile or so. A buddy had 40+/- trees down in his yard.

My employer also has numerous locations in Ringgold, GA. Big, big mess up there...

Some of the damage. The Grey line is where the tornado went through.

The house is gone, but the deck stayed in place.

This was a horse farm at the end of Dad's strip.

Dad's place is on the right side of the pic, about 300yds from the path.

We've been praying for all in the south, how terrible that was. Nothing more scary that a tornado. I've been around enough of them to know that, but nothing comes close to comparing to what all those folks must have endured. Until we can do more our hearts are out to all affected by this nightmare.
