Kyle, I think like you. If the ribs failed and the tank collapsed downward, then the spar would prevent it from going any farther. But he's the IA and it's his name in the Logs so I'll do it his way.
We're packing up the house, but I think the Champ will stay in GA until the last minute or when we sell the house. I don't have a good place to store/work on it in Kentucky yet. That said; anytime you're out and about swing down to Peachstate and take a look.
