Drawings for 65 TC exhaust

Post by Jerry Jackson »

I need drawings showing details for the exhaust stack on a 65 TC. I think the information will be on drawings 7-88, 4-158, and 4-159. Can anyone help?

Joe, were you able to find any information on this? If I can get the information I will look into having one made. If not I guess I will have to settle for Y-style pipes.

Yes, I would like to have those drawings. I am in the final stages of fitting a new cowling to my TC65 and have to decide on the exhaust system. That fuselage is very narrow and I am searching for info & advice that would let me make an appropriate choice.

Thanks.

Jerry,
I'll have to swing around and check out your TC65 one of these days. We just bought a 'winter home' in San Antonio (to stay warm and closer to the grandkids :D ). Although I don't expect we'll be down until after the first of the year. If I remember correctly the last time I looked your TC was still a pile of parts so you must be making good progress on it.

You are welcome to any time. Did I send you the gate code and my telephone number?

I have made progress but not as much as I would like. I have repaired some fuselage tubing, blasted & primed fuselage, made motor mount and firewall. This week I striped the wing covering so I could inspect the (unobtainable) aluminum truss ribs. I am happy to report the ribs and other structural parts are OK. I will have to replace LE sheet, trailing edges, and tip bow. I won't know about the spars until I disassemble them.

I have spent a LOT of time learning how to shape aluminum for a new cowl. That is one of the hardest subject I have ever tried to learn. I have finished the four major pieces but cannot go much further until I am ready to commit on the choice for the exhaust system and know what cutouts to install.

Jerry,
Think I have the numbers somewhere. If not I'll get back to you once I'm down there.
