Does anyone know where I can get the clear acetate tubing for the fuel sight gauge on an L3? Is there an alternative material? Does acetate stand up to mogas or fuel containing ethanol ? Does anything??
Thanks for any input.

Peter,
If you have the aluminum retainer, I made a few extra glass tubes.

Mine has no metal retainer. It's stock like the drawing 1-743f; just a plain acetate tube, threaded at both ends and with markings on it.
I thought about making a metal/glass one, but this is simple and original and I hope to keep it that way.
I'll have a look if Aircraft Spruce's clear PVC tube might work tomorrow.

Peter,
You may need to whip up one yourself. Some of the F Wacos used this type of gauge. A 1/4" NPT for the tank and a 1/8" NPT internal for the opposite end.
