vibration

Post by dfcpac »

iv'e recently changed ny 7aca from a a 65 to a c85 and put a metal prop on. i noticed a full power rpms 2575, my wing truts get a vibration in them more on the right side then left. when i throttle back to 2300 2400 rpms it goes away. is this the metal prop causing vibration?

thank you

Dan,
Maybe the prop wash?? Although I don't know why metal would have been different than wood.....but stranger things have happened. Usually it seem I feel a vibration more in my feet or the seat of my pants :? .

It MIGHT be the prop. Is it new, used? Might pay to have a good prop shop check it out and balance it. My Champ, 85hp with a McCauley did not do what you describe. JP
