Aeronca Service Letter #6
Does anyone have a copy of this service letter regarding landing gear bushing/oversize bolts that they can e-mail to me? Send to askharry(at)charter.net. Thanks, Harry

Re: Aeronca Service Letter #6
Thank! My gear still has all of hte stock bolt sizes and all of the tolerances are noticeably loose. I can still bush the gear forgings, but all of the fuselage and gear strut tabs need to go oversize. I was worried about going oversize, but it took 65 years for the stock parts to go out of limits on a airplane that has led a hard life. Going oversize will give the plane another 65 years to wear out-

Harry,
There's a SL that covers the installation of Weld Washers for the fuselage repairs. I just made a batch for mine and they work great.
