Re: anyone flying a champ ?
Wish I were flying a champ. My wife is taking me with her on a trip to Hawaii for 10 days. Are there any Champs in Hawaii?

All hope is not lost : 4 aeroncas on the airfield I have my hanger on. I am still trying to get my wings painted, Poor thing going to hawaii, thats tough stuff, Ouhu, or I call it the Military Island, Dillingham strip on the northern shore, had a few Aeronca's 15 years ago. I retired from the airlines. I flew Gliders there, and a Sky diving operation was really big on that field. Enjoy the weather and have fun A fellow aviator Sunny
Re: anyone flying a champ ?
My neighbor flew his Champ yesterday morning and I flew mine yesterday afternoon.
Clear sky and very light wind. Just wonderful.

Hoping to get some Champ flying in on Monday. Warwick (N72) has a Chief, 4 Champs and three Citabrias on the field.

Re: anyone flying a champ ?
I was busy flying my Skylane to Florida, but now I am back in Illinois for Thanksgiving and I plan to fly The Champ from C77 to Punta Gorda, Florida. A two day trip if the weather cooperates, but if the weather is really nice, it might take a week or so. So many places to land, so little time. . . .

Question for James Gevay: Where do you get the stands that your fuselage is mounted on?

Thanks Tom.
It looks like a nice grass strip and there are a lot of them, mostly private, west of Albany.
