Eisemann mags & parts

Post by geneL3c »

Looking for Eisemann AM-4 / LA-4 mag impulse couplings and drive gears for A-65-8 engine . C-85-12 impulse coupling will NOT work . Will consider complete mags as long as they have the gears and / or couplings . Will also trade if I have what you need . Gene

I have several LA6 mags with impluse couplings would they use the same P/N as the LA4. Let me know. I was saving them for people that wanted to trade in mags for new slicks but wanted to keep their old ones................Let me know ...Gordy in Minnesota on 5072598018.

Gordy , The LA-6 mag is basically the same as the LA-4 , but the mag rotor , distributor rotor and drive gear are different as well as several other parts related to ignition harness connection . Also some impulse couplings were common to both , but there are many different impulse couplings depending on engine application , and came in clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation . I'd be interested if the impulse couplings were clockwise . Thanks , Gene Oshrin

Gene, I won't get into our EAA hangar til this weekend to check rotation, but we have a web site EAA100.org and go to the 4th item on the left hand side which is donated items. Then click on the upper set of items pertaining to Walt Mount, click on that and about 50 picture will come up. On row about 30 are pictures of some magnetoes. By looking at these can you determine what you are looking for? I will check this weekend and get back to you...................Gordy in Minnesota
