I did this early am. $5.39 100ll around here. Been flying the heck out of a 115 hp Chief and really like it. Burns the same as my 100hp champ did but the chief is 15 mph faster and flys better. My dad used to take my sister and I out every 4th in the evening to watch the fireworks from above in his Stinson when I was a kid . He never bought fireworks for us. Now I know why. He spent the money on fuel and gave us some great memories. Have a great one all.

BBQ ribs and garden squash then a couple of trips around the patch in the Champ. Now waiting for the fireworks show to start.

Life is good. Thank you Lord! And in the spirit of the day, thank you veterans.

Happy 4th everyone. My champ is in for its annual, so no flying yesterday, but did get to celebrate in a small town in Virginia on my way to Memphis. The fireworks were truly almost as intense as those I see in New York City and the local small town people seemed a heck of a lot more sincere or at least a much bigger percentage of them.

Hope everyone had fun and stayed safe.

(still paying $6.25 here, but that is because we do not go through a load of fuel that quickly, so hopefully the next load will be at a much lower price and then we pay less for longer.)

Did you have to modify the cowling or engine mount (from a C-85 conversion) to put in the 115 HP? I assume an O-235?

Cheers - Bob

Happy Birthday toAll,

Unfortunately, between the East Coast thunderstorms and a family celebration of the 4th, the Chief has had a lot of hangar time. But the enjoyment of the holiday with a Great Grandson (2 yrs.) and fireworks here at home, it was great. Guess who is my candidate for most important first flight
candidate ?

Bob, I have sent you a couple of personal E-Mails recently. Have you received them ?

Which topic Dale? Did you receive the 337 and pictures on the Seaplane Door. If that is not it, let me know if I missed them.

Robert,

I sent you a PM through another forum asking for data on your seaplane door and the 337, but haven't heard or received anything as yet.
