Don't know if this has been posted before but I just ran into it on the EAA site. Don't know the pilot or the plane but it's a Champ. I can't think of anything more fun then giving a youngster their first ride and apparently this one liked it.

Great video. Just sent it to my daughter. Can't wait to get my grand daughter up for her first small plane ride, though I will have to submit to the fury of my Ex-Wife!

Here's my son's first flight (in my RV-6) last fall. He was almost 3.

Great Video, Great Editing, Great Director too. Now to get my Ex-Wife's schedule as when she will be out of town. My daughter is all for it. My Grand Daughter was three in November. Was that a Car's Kids Seat in the plane? Not sure how I would do that in my Champ. I mounted my Drift HD today, but could not get the airplane out of the hanger due to all the frozen snow. Now I have to learn how to edit these things. What software are you using? I have Photoshop CS 6 and Roxio.

Thanks for Sharing - Bob

That is a car seat. I found the narrowest one I could to minimize interference with the flap handle which is between the seats. One of the nice things about my RV-6 is that I can take the right stick out so the passenger doesn't do something silly like grab it or kick it at a critical moment.

The video was shot with my iPhone and edited in Windows Live Movie Maker, which came pre-installed on my computer with Windows7. Movie Maker isn't exactly feature laden, but that is good since I'm not very enthusiastic about spending a lot of time editing videos.

Thanks Kyle, I will have to look. I have a Computer with Windows 7 and one with Windows 8.1, but I think that Roxio might be the easiest full featured one to use. I am still taking courses in Photoshop. I need to come up with a quick disconnect for my PTT switches in order to take the sticks out, because when I installed the sticks, I did not think about provisions for removal.

Kyle,

I tried several times but couldn't get the video to play. Got just a glimpse of his face before the video started and then nothing. Wold love to see it. Any idea why the video itself won't play from that link ?

Dale,

What Video editor is it opening in Windows Media Player etc. You might need to update the version you have. If opening in Internet Explorer, you can see what version you have also. I just clicked on it again and it worked fine.

I've seen that video before also but it still inspires me every time I look at it. It also reminds me of the very special gift we all possess who fly and have these little airplanes. A give we need to share.

I introduced all 4 of my grand kids to flying. Two of them were preprogrammed by their mother to fear flying. After they saw how much fun the other two were having, they wanted to go. Today, three of the four view flying as just another mode of transportation. The forth one, though, shows interest in aviation. He loves going to Oshkosh. maybe........

That's a good one Mike, I saved it from when it came out last year.
How's the weather down in TX? It was -10 this morning for the 3rd time this week, again.
