Aeronca Drawings

Post by EDGEFLY »

Does anyone have a compilation of Aeronca drawings by Drawing title or Subject ? I have a fair number of drawings which I can access but can only access them by Drawing Number. This sounds like a grade school topic in Computer usage but I haven't yet figured how to reorganize the documents files so as to be able to browse by title using Vista Home Premium and information in the Documents folders. This information was formatted on a disc and doesn't seem to yield to normal procedures. I could, of course, simply make a manual correlation list but don't have time for that. Any help appreciated.

Dale,

I renamed all of my drawings by the drawing number(period)the title as it appears on the drawing(period)pdf

an example would be 3-486,installation steerable tailwheel.pdf

This lets me search using the operating system. I can search installation and every file with that in its name will show up. Or search tailwheel and every file with that in its name will show up.

Dale, are you looking for 7 series drawings or all of them. I have all the 7 series renamed so they can be searched. Several years ago I had knee surgery and was down a few days. Used the time to fix all the drawings. Be glad to send you a cd if you want. Email me your address at: david(at symbol)rrbodyshop.com. David J./Jasper Ga.
