They are all NICE! I especially like the black oval, (could be blue) with the wings! It would make a great Aeronca logo for the tail! They are all good looking! (same for a T-Craft Logo!) JP

Thanks Joe

Mike's already been moving a few bits for me and this is another favo(u)r via Sun'N'Fun.

I think at one stage we got to the point where the Champ was variously scattered around
Florida, LA, Virginia, Switzerland, Burwash, Harrogate, Ramsgate, Maypole and behind my sofa in Deal. In case you were wondering, the final five represent a smaller scale but reasonable English scattering.

Getting new decals shows optimism, don't you think? 8)

Well, it's taken a while but the Champ now looks good.
Yesterday we put the decals on and I think they look fabulous. Truly smart. 8)

As for the colo(u)r - you couldn't have guessed better!

Can I post a picture? Err, actually not right now as I've lost my hard drive and until I get some sort of system running of my own, I'm a bit limited. :(

The good news is I had saved all the restoration photos onto a CD. :)

Thank you again - many times.

I have had Jim Vincent make several types of decals for my Isuzu Pup diesel. He sure does nice work, and is easy to work with.

Hello (Sgt) Joey,
My graphics are really just a hobby, (not my real job) I have a tax number just to "protect" myself and also to get supplys.
I no longer have a website nor catalog. When I had my Champ I was here every single day and did a "ton" of
Aeronca graphics and offered them here and people commented on them but much to my surprise....very little interest in actually purchasing them, ...oh well.
I now have a Citabria and have done a beautiful graphic but haven't told anyone.
I can assure you, it's not worth my time (no offence) but I do it because I like it.
If you see something you're interested in on this thread let me know, it's usually between $10 and $30, $8 shipping.
I'm pretty Anal about my graphics and I use only Hi-perf vinyl, since 1992. ...have never ever had an unsatisfied customer.

I assume these are the ones you're asking about.
They're 14" wide (can be less if needed), height is approx 8".
Single color is $15 ea, two color $24, shipping is $8.
Installation/Tips sheet included.

As for the color white on a tinted window, my suggestion is to use a very lite shade of Gray.
it takes the edge off of the bright white (and still looks white) personally, I think it looks better,
but then.... you're the one paying.
I use only Hi-perf vinyl, How good is it? ....the very first (outdoor) job
I ever did in 1992 (a Dry Cleaners) nearly 20 yrs ago is still up today!!

If you get it from me or someone else...
never accept intermediate or econo or calendered vinyl !
make certain it's hi-performance or cast vinyl.
Jim

Sure, but prices are up slightly. $15. a side & $8. S&H, basic colors, any size up to 14".(including installation sheet/tips to get it right) and
I'll send you something extra. If 7" or smaller... $10. a side. I'll take a check (snail mail) or PayPal.
Let me know, take care, Jim

Have you seen, or do you (hopefully) make the decal of the little tough guy wearing a boxing glove and says "the Champ"?

Thanks,

Hello Brian,
Thanks for the interest, but (probably) not. I know the graphic you're talking about but not with wearing a glove. It could certainly be done but not without several hours of computer work.
I know that sounds like a lot but... after a google search for a boxing glove, upload to my graphics program, draw the glove, incorporate it with the tough guy, cut the vinyl, prep it, ship it,
....see what I mean? If we were talking 10-20? Maybe so, But we're talking 1. If you scroll through the 7 pages of this link, you'll see just a sampling of my Aeronca work.
There was nowhere that you could get these types of graphics, I believe that's still the case. I put a lot of time into these and was surprised at how little interest there was in them.
At one point, I even offered a FREE graphic, all you had to do was send me an email....I got one response!
If you get someone else to do it, do not accept any Economy or Intermediate Vinyl, if you do, you'll regret it. Only use Hi-performance or Cast vinyl.
Another option would be to bring a photo or something to a shop for printing on clear vinyl, it'll give you a graphic but you'll see the sheet of clear vinyl....personally, I think it looks like crap,
won't last like Hi-perf vinyl and will probably yellow.
Take care, Jim
...after thinking about it for a minute, maybe I'll play with it for a bit...I enjoy a challenge.
This below, was mine, before I sold it.

Jim,

But what else do you have to do in the hotel on those long layovers? :)

I get that comment all the time... along with 4-500 emails a day!

Beautiful work... need to get you some Sedan stuff to work with!

Take care,

Hey Joe, thanks for the comment, ....long time no "see".
I'm actually retired now, will be 2 yrs in Feb.,
but I stay busy, had 2 Citabria's since, still have my boat and a '50 Chevy 5-window pickup
and also still doing Boat graphics on the side.

Thanks for the response,

I truly understand, being a small business owner and manufacturer, I understand the cost of creating something. Actually, I'm not sure the little guy was wearing a glove? Saw it years ago and should have ordered then, just thought it looked really neat! Thanks again, and best of luck with your enterprise.

Morning Brian,
I'm going to work with it for a bit, (no obligation on your part)
...are you talking about the little tough guy with a "flat-top"? or the "peeing kid"?
