I'm sure some one here has done this but I can't seem to find it. I need to elevate my wheels in order to replace the Brake disc clips on my Goodyear Brakes. Since I don't have access to a usable hydraulic system, I would like to fabricate a support to use under the tie-down clamps to get the wheels a few inches off the ground. Does anyone have a setup like this ? I'm thinking that a 2x4 is plenty strong enough as the support but I don't know how tall it needs to be and exactly how to stabilize it. Ideas ?
