Hi
I'm looking for a few feet of both front and rear wing lift strut material from a Chanp. Anyone got some old bad struts that I can buy a few feet of each?
Thanks
Del

Re: Champ lift strut
Del,
I'm sure I have some at the house. Let me know what length you need and how to get it to you.

Re: Champ lift strut
I have constructed a 4" tube with a remote controlled linear actuator that opens and closes a door on the end of the tube and will be mounting it out on my lift struts away from my tailfeathers so that I can load into the tube the creamated remains of several family members and disperse over the Sierras. I need some lift strut material so that I can utilize the correct curvature to temporairly mount the tube to the struts. I need 12 to 16 " of both front and rear strut tubing to do what I would like to do. Hangarash and Paul have both offered and I thank you both for the offer. I will post a photo of the device soon. And yes...I realize this is not an approved installation.
Just sold my second Champ restoration to a little lady up in Marysville Ca. Husband bought it for her 50th wedding anniversary. So I'm back to being a single airplane owner and have to much spare time again. LOL

Re: Champ lift strut
Paul I will defer to you providing Del with the tubing, unless I hear differently (you are closer to him than I)

Re: Champ lift strut
Del, if Paul can't locate his metal, please let me know and I will get a couple of pieces in the mail.
Also please share a picture of two of the assembly when you've finished it.
