There is a helper (stooge) in the Aircraft Spruce catalog (I use one). the quick release can be had from West Marine if you want to make your own.

Colie,

I just had to ask. Do you use a stooge with your McDowelled Chief ?

Well I use a stuge to launch my UC model aircraft, but I think you talking about you don’t have a 360 rotating tail, wheel well good news I don’t either, 2000 Aeronca Scott tail wheel. I like it especially in a cross wind. A guy in Arizona builds tail wheel stuges, builds them has 3 different versions, I made mine, but his look really nice, might get one if I win the lottery, not cheap!
