7AC shoulder harnesses availability
7AC shoulder harnesses availability
I ordered a front seat belt & shoulder harness from Hooker several months ago and was told there would be a 30 day wait. Now, almost four months later, I still don’t have them. I’m told they are waiting on parts from a vendor. I’m guessing the parts are sitting on a stranded cargo ship somewhere. I’m wondering if the harnesses from Aircraft Spruce or Wag Aero are as good as the Hooker, and would they even be available? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: 7AC shoulder harnesses availability
I'm sure they would be a good quality belt from other vendors. Make sure they conform to TSO-C22.

Re: 7AC shoulder harnesses availability
I have the Wag Aero shoulder harness both front and back, I have no complaints with the quality of the kit, it was very complete. I can tell you the install was a pain in the ass because my champ has a headliner installed and makes access difficult. Prior to buying those harnesses I bought a Quickie Harness from Hooker and it was very nice, but you have to remove the rear stick to use it. I just wanted a permanent install.
Re: 7AC shoulder harnesses availability
I also installed the Wag Aero ones in my 7CCM and was very happy about it. We cut and then restitched the headliner to install without taking it fully down.
