1. Name – Larry Miller
2. Location State - Texas
3. Type of fuel (Auto/100LL/Mix) – 100LL Avgas
4. MMO (if used and quantity and frequency) - Never
5. Engine type / Time since TOH – Lycoming 0235 C1 625 hours SMOH
6. Years using this procedure – Always -
7. Do you check for alcohol in the fuel? If so, how? - No
8. Have you had any stuck valves? - No
Comments: I have never been convinced that the small savings with Auto gas is worth the risk. Contamination, alcohol plus the hassle involved. Our Avgas is about $3.75 per gallon. I think I save more fuel by flying at 65% power most of the time.

Bob,
MMO is Marvel Mystery Oil. Legally its not for use in airplanes but is said be a good upper cylinder lubricant, which should help keep the valves from sticking. That is one of the major reasons for this survey, to see if anyone has issues with the valves sticking while using automotive fuel.
So far its looking like the real issue with valves sticking is with aviation fuel, so this survey is a very good tool.
