I have mentioned several times in various posts that I had copies of the wooden formers used in a post-war Chief. That was the easy part as I had made several moves from town to town (and a few countries in between) and they were packed away somewhere.
Doing some cleaning and arranging this weekend (and selling crap on Ebay) recently and found the patterns.
If anyone is restoring a Chief and needs copies of these patterns please let me know. Not sure if I will take them to Kinko's and have them scanned or what but at least I finally found the originals!

You would not believe some of the idiots we have around the world on Ebay. More money than sense at times it seems but I am laughing all the way to the bank.
When I closed down our old flight department I had loads of Jeppesens approach charts, low and high altitude maps left over. US, Europe, Canada, Carib, Pacific, Hawaii and so on, all the places we used to fly. They were last updated in 2004 or early 2005 so were not legal to use.
I put half of them on Fleabay and hoped that some person using a flight simulator would give me something for them. Halfway though the auction some gent emailed me asking if I would mail them to Korea. I told him that I would mail them anywhere as long as it was legal (not going to N. Korea) and the money was valid.
Ten seconds before the auction ends he puts in the high bid. $425!!!!!! Now I am worried that he might be one of these Nigerian scammers sending me a fake cashiers check. Nope, it comes through Pay Pal within 12 hours, shipping costs included. Turns out that he works with the Seoul Korea Police department. Who is going to be using them is a good question but hope they are happy with them.
I then ask him if he might be interested in the remainder of the Jepps. He replied that he wanted to see the first ones arrived that he would take these as well. Seems that he wanted to inspect the first shipment. They arrived Friday in Korea and he sent the next batch of funds by Pay Pal in two hours.
Old out of date Jeppesens in their leather binders. Almost $900... Who would have thought that someone would have wanted them this bad but there were 10 bidders on this auction who drove the price this high!
Had a set of bag liners for an old BMW motorcycle. Got them in Germany 20 years ago and do not need them anymore. Thought that I would get $20 or so for them. Finally after 18 people started bidding on the auction and running the price up I just sat back and watched. They ended up selling for $83!
