We also do tailwheel dual insrtuction, sport pilot instruction, and solo rental at Marysville, Ohio, at Union County Airport. We use a Champ cloned to look like an L-16, with 85 hp, full electrical system, electric start, digital flip flop radio, and Mode C transponder. 23 gallon fuel tanks. You can take it virtually anywhere.
Airplane can be rented wet for $72/hour, unless fuel costs continue to rise, and ten it may be adjusted. Dual insrtuction is $35 per hour. The airplane rental is TACH time.
This is a bautifully and newly restored airplane, with, as of this date, about 27 hours on it since a new engine and restoration. The FBO is PrimeAERO, Inc.

Why are your prices so low? You're still in the 1970s with $20 per hour dual and $20 per hour shop rates.
Good luck, though. Our Champ is busy at Marysville, but with the overhead we have operating from a county airport, large maint. hangar and 3 mechanics, full time instructor, line service people, etc. we can't match your rates.
In our first year of operation, we tried to match a county airport about 20 miles away that virtually gives fuel away, and learned that was silly. We raised our prices two years ago to be competitive with other airports like ours, and our bottom line improved. Of course, at this place that gives fuel away, that's all they have - a fuel pump and a run-down old building. No services, no nice lounge, no social environment.
I'll have to come see your L-3 when it's done.
