I have a 1938 KCA N21025 AND WOULD LIKE TO FIND A MCDOWELL
STARTER AND ALSO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE ORIGINAL PAINT
COLOR ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL

Glad to see a little intrest in the pre-war chiefs. My KCA 21083 s/n 55 has the instrument panel painted red,I dont know if that is original. All of the cabin tubing is also red. Sorry I dont have a complete pull starter. I am missing the pulley bracket and a ratchet wheel. Paul Agaliotis

You see the McDowell starters and parts on Ebay from time to time but they are expensive. Paid over $700 for mine there a while back.

I would keep an eye out there and you might find one.
