Shoulder harnesses

Post by Ted Karver »

Hello,

Just rejoined the ranks of Aeronca Pilots after 40 years. Have questions, however let me start with this: I have a 7EC converted from a FC, am interested in installing shoulder harnesses. Who has them? Which way is a good way to go? What about price? Time to install?
Appreciate any feed back and any other comments that I don' know to ask.

Thanx,

Ted

Ted,

Welcome onboard.

Might try the search function. I just did a search for "shoulder" and came up with about 20 various threads with shoulder harness in them.

Hooker is probably one of the most well known. I have their 5-piont sytem in my Champ. It was in it when I purchased it but looks like it was a pretty simple install.

Ted,

After looking myself, Hooker seems to be the easiest to use.

The FAA has made shoulder harness installation a logbook installation, so its easy to accomplish without all the hoops that we had to jump through in the past.

Look around and sure you will find a lot of info here. If you do not fine it, then pls ask. No one knows it all and we are sure among this group at times! :)

Hooker is what I have and it's a good system. Easy to install.
