Shuttle Photos
Is there any chance of you Champ pilots in Florida getting me a photo of the Shuttle on its launch pad. I,ve always wanted one and would look good in my scrap book. If you could frame the shot with the struts included it would be great.
P.S.
I might not be able to cover the expense.

I really feel bad for the guy, cause you know he's gonna get a lashing from everyone with a badge.
But on the funny side, I loved this part.....
"Deputies met the unidentified pilot at the airport where the aircraft was searched for explosives...."
I want a new bumper sticker.....
FEAR ME!
I Fly an AERONCA

Even though it's only a Champ, what a black eye for GA. There is no excuse for what that pilot did.
The airspace in that area is heavily restricted and OBVIOUS on the sectionals. Coming up from the South along the ocean he had to go through 4 - D airspaces, with the last prior to entering the Cape Canaveral D space being none other than Patrick AFB.
The Cape Canaveral airspace is also inside a clearly marked (and large) prohibited/restricted airspace.

Ed,
Most of us agree but what gets me is the guys age. If it was someone who was getting up there in years (70-80 or older) and not flying very much you might have a bit of understanding for the gent, but the reports say that he was 41 and if you are not on top of your game at this age then you have problems...
Am sure that the FAA and TSA will susplain it to him in detail...
