After shut down or while setting, excess oil and lead tends to sink to the lowest place in the cylinder which is where the lower plug is located. Hence, the reason it is a lower plug missing on start up. An easy way to check, is install a longer reach plug like the REM37BY. If you have a little oil and/or lead getting to the lower plugs, these longer reach plugs may get the electrode up and out of the oil thereby eliminating the start up miss. They will not solve the real problem but they may help you to identify the problem and possibly prolong replacing rings or cylinders.

You're theory is perfect, if I was having problems with rough running on the left mag I could understand as that mag runs the bottom plugs. However my rough running is ONLY and EVER on the right mag which runs the top plugs.
I really don't think I have what I would call a problem starting. Especially cold. Warm I'm still trying to get the proper sequence. The last time after getting fuel, I did nothing other than turn on the ignition and give one blade and it started. But then again, I also did not have any right mag issues on the last two flights.
