One thing you might consider is that I believe that lexan (polycarbonate) is less resistant to gasoline. Acrylic (plexiglass) is to a great extent. It isn't a big deal if you don't spill gas on your window, but I have blown it before myself. Might not be as big a deal if you don't have a wing tank, I fly a Sedan and frequently refuel with 5 gallon jugs, so every now and then, I get gas on the window, and the door, and up my arm etc.


I believe that Tap plastics has an abrasoin resistant polycarbonate (AR grade) that helps with the tendancy to get scratched up.
