N85955 being restored on a budget.
Re: N85955 being restored on a budget.
heres a pic of the dash. turned out better than i thought it would. i wanted to get it done so i could lay out my gauge panel. the only bummer is i was going thru my gauges that i got and realized both altimeters are no good. if anyone has a extra they would like to part with let me know.

Great looking work and moving pretty fast! I've got a set of plans for an experimental and I'm almost ready to start gluing up ribs - its only taken me 12 months to get started!

just got the doors, firewall, engine mount, seat frame, oleo cases, and yokes cleaned and ready to be primed. waiting on firewall blanket from acs and some misc nuts and bolts from wag thats slowing me down. also a working altimeter should be here any day.

made some progress in the last week. started putting in dash and floor. was going to finish mounting tanks but realized i didnt have the right bolts. looks like i need to wait on the main tank anyways until i get all my insturments hooked up. im going to order new oil pressure and temp gauges just for saftey reasons. does anyone have any pics of there fuel line routing? would like to get the aux tank plumbed in. also someone told me to plumb the primer in after the gasalator so i get clean fuel, is this correct? also check out my glove boxes, im pleased how they turned out.

one thing i really dont like is how wavy that one stringer is. will that show through the fabric?

YES!
If you can see it now, you'll see it later! I'd re-fit it so it runs straight.

Re: N85955 being restored on a budget.
Jason,
One thing (know you are on a budget) you might look into is sending one or more of the instruments into a shop for cleaning and overhaul. One in the center looks kinda old while the rest look excellent. Would really help the appearance to get them all the same.
Excellent work by the way! Glad to see you making progress this fast! You NEED to come to Middletown this June!
