Chief 11AC Controls Stick conversion

You will not find a 11AC converted to sticks. The preward chief stick model was the result of Aeronca's entry to the Pre WWII War CPTP (civilian pilot training program) in the colleges--it did not make the cut--78 were built. It was not becasue some sales person thought it up. I've owned three of them--look up previous posts for comments. If you want a stick, stick to Luscombes, Pipers, etc if you want a certified airplane..

Sorry about that comment, it came from Augie Wegner's Oshkosh forum who owned one of the stick Chiefs and had done some research into it. Regardless of the market intended, it was driven by a sales/marketing decision, was it not?

You are right-- a pending war would be a good market.
