VG kits for Aeronca's

Nothing to do with the VG kits but my 0200/L16 is on the nose heavy side of the CG and even with the trim all the way back it takes a pretty stiff pull on the stick to keep the airspeed down to 55-60 on final approach. Even with a 25# battery and box at station 57 behind the rear seat. Relax the stick and it picks up speed pretty quickly. On the other hand it wheel lands real nice and I do like the no bounce gear as it tends to 'feather' to the ground (with no bounce......usually ) if I maintain the airspeed within reason. I also have the short mount with a Sky-Tec starter.

There has been a lot of comment on VG usage on Aeroncas on the "fearless Aeronca Aviator" site over the last week or so. Nearly all positive and lots of it ! Some comments reflect a little difference with non-standard engines and mounts but nothing really negative there either.
