Thanks and there are going to be an awful lot of Aeronca people there. Sure would be nice to have at least one of the new birds there as a lot of people have talked about buying one.

What kind of attendance are we looking at?
Maybe I can push upper management a little more with some figures.
Maybe can just send the test pilot for a day or something.

Not sure of the numbers right now, will get back to you.

One thing is that everyone at the fly-in will be an Aeronca person, not a generic fly-in with everyone looking at varied types of plane. In past years its been in the hundreds but not sure if we made 1000 or more or not. Let me email the other guys and see what I can find out.

It would be well worth your time and trouble, even if someone could bring one or two down for Saturday.

Believe that the attendence will be very high at this fly-in in Middletown. Registration has been better than normal and most people do not even register until they arrive, so there will be a lot of people attending.

Just talked to the guys already there in Middletown getting things ready for the fly-in and the forcast for the rest of the week and this weekend is for high pressure throughout the area, meaning clear skies and good flying weather.

In the past we have at times had some pretty good storms roll through the area that at times kept some people from coming.

This year should be clear and vis unlimited so anyone interested in seeing where their Aeronca's were built, this will be one of the best fly-in's we have held in years!

Hope you can talk the guys into bringing at least one of the new Champs to Middletown for a day or two. You will have a captive market of pilots who live, eat, sleep and breathe Champs. A lot of us are very interested in the new planes and you might just sell a few while there!

Yes, we know that there are airplanes up there that you have not told any of us about! Stop trying to hide them and bring one or more of them down!

Come on Jerry, this is the national meet and its only held every two years so someone should be able to take one day off and bring one of your new flagship planes down to show everyone!

We got a dealer in Ohio that might fly up here and bring it down.
Thats the angle we are working now. We were kicking around appearing on Friday and Exiting early on Sunday. Nothing set in stone yet. At least he might have first hand experience 'put-putting' the 500 miles down there.

Thanks for the help. If they do come down can guarantee that they will be surrounded a lot of the time.

If they do not make it they will be missed, and for the Aeronca fly in at the original factory that would be a shame.

Jerry, the wx should be great all weekend. Hope someone is flying the 7LS to Middletown. We could really showcase it. Could also give them the opportunity to talk at a forum. Not just about the 7LS, but where ACA is going, parts/services available, or what ever they want to talk about, bragging up ACA. Hope to see it there. If you wish to coordinate, you can call Joe or I. Also Brian, he is already out there.

This should be a great chance to let everyone see the new "Champ". Not that we don't like the old one. Lots of "Aeroncaers" at Middletown.....instead of those "J" ?????

Come on Jerry, use all that mighty pull you have at ACA and fly it down yourself.
It would be nice too see both a new champ up next to an older champ. And it's true,
you won't find more Aeronca pilots in one place; many of who are getting old and the thought
of LSA is growing everyday.

Sure sounds like there is a lot of interest. Everyone is correct that ACA will not find a larger and more supportive group of Champ pilots, owners and potental owners in one place like this for another two years.

Bring one or two airplanes down and sell them!
