This is an unbelievably small world. I was on the island of Tiburon and San Francisco last week. I met someone else that used to land his Maule on Tiburon and scuba dive. I guess I didn’t find a beach suitable for landing my Champ. I traveled from St Ignacio on the Pacific coast, around Cabo up to the northern islands of Tiburon and many others including Catalina, San Marcos and San Francisco. We disembarked at Guaymas. (By the way that was the airport built for the movie "Catch 22").
I was the ship’s Doc on the National Geographic Lindblad expedition with just 70 passengers. Log onto my website to see some of my pictures of the islands and the whales. You will see San Francisco’s crescent beach on Page 3 (Best of Baja, #0172).

I would love to visit with you about your experiences on these gorgeous islands. You can contact me at miller@gvtc.com.
Thanks for the information on the cut off valve. I will try to overhaul it for now. As for the universal joints, Ron, my mechanic said he could “adjust” the “on” position so it will open all the way.
