Missing Aeronca Scout!

Post by Donna McConnel »

:( I am looking for my fathers' 1947 Aeronca Scout NC3796E 11AC-S-17.
According to FAA registration it is registered to Gary J Marston in Napa, CA. He no longer owns the plane. He sold it and that individual no longer remembers who he sold it to. It has not been registered since Mr. Marston owned it. My son is receiving his license and A&P degree. I would like to find it for him. My father was a decendant of Charles Nungesser the French pilot that flew just ahead of Lindberg, but his plane was lost, until 1980's when found in Nova Scotia. It would be greatly appreciated if any information could be found. The last known area of the plane was in Woodland or Napa, CA area.
Thank you,
Donna

Missing Aeronca

If you know the N number of the aircraft you can find information about it on the FAA web site. Just do a google search for FAA Aircraft Registration. From there you will need to enter the N-number and if the aircraft is still registered you will find the name and address of the last registered owner.
Good Luck.
