B-C forum

Post by Nathan K. Hammond »

Like a lot of our members, I surf several other forums; SuperCub.org, Treetop Flyers, and the Bellanca-Champion / Aeronca Aviators. So the other day, I fellow from Great Lakes Aero Plastics (they make windshields for ACA) ask's about L-16 greenhouses on the Bellanca-Champion forum. Seems they're looking into making the greenhouse glass, but needed pictures of how it attaches to the structure. I've got several pictures that would help him out, but when I tried to post them on the B-C forum, only code appeared and no pic. Apparently the B-C forum doesn't support pictures like the NAA's.

Long story short.... I post a reply that pictures can't be posted on the B-C forum and he should ask the question on the NAA site since we can do pics.

Not once but TWICE, my post was Deleted!!  At first I thought it was a glitch on my side, but after the second attempt and seeing it on the forum, but gone the next morning I know there's something fishy going on. I mean WTF!!!! I don't know what makes me more angry, the fact they deleted my post, kinda like shoving a sock in my mouth. Or the fact they'd rather leave someone, much less a manufacture, in the dark because they wanted traffic on their site and not the NAA's.

:x  :x  :x  :x  :x
@#$%^#%^&@$^%@&&^@$%& Damnation!

Sorry guys, didn't mean to get on a rant here, but it REALLY made me mad when I saw that, and was eating at me.

Nathan,
Dont let it get to you. They are working on their own agenda. I,ve seen alot of mis-information on their site, and tried to add my opinion on the subject. Only to be shouted back to my seat like at a Teamster,s meeting.
I guess thats why they call it the B-C club and not B-C-A club.
Maybe Rodney King was onto something.

Nathan,

We allow you to post just about anything on this site. Once it gets to sex, drugs and rock and roll then it might be deleted, otherwise its usually ok.

Not going to comment futher on their group but if you look at the number of posts on their Aeronca bulletin board versus this one its quite dramatic who has more information and members.

Wish we could all work together and keep the old planes in the air.

Joe A

PS tell the windshield guy to come over here. We will post the pictures that he needs to get to work.

Thanks Paul, you're right B/C, not B/C/A.

Joe, you're a Gentleman and a Scholar (and pretty good at keeping this group of cohorts in line!) Keep up the good work!. :!:

I left another message, we'll see if this one sticks. :?

The past few years, working the type club tent at OSH, when people ask about other clubs, I always refer them to the AAC and let them decide, not stating anyone being better than the other. That is their decision to make. I just tell them you can't get enough Aeronca information. More is better.
