American Champion on the Travel Channel

Post by Nathan K. Hammond »

A buddy just sent this to me.

nkh

TRAVEL CHANNEL TO VISIT AMERICAN CHAMPION
Somewhere between covering Whitman's Chocolates and Sage fly fishing
rods, television host John Ratzenberger is prepared to honor American
Champion Aircraft. The Travel Channel's "Made in America" show is slated
to air a segment on the aircraft company on Tuesday, February 22. Now
in its second season, the show spotlights American companies and the niche they have created in the culture. American Champion is located in Rochester, Wisconsin, and is known for the Citabria line of aircraft.

Travel Channel visit to ACA

Post by Visitor »

I have been checking the listings for Tuesday Feb. 22nd, 2005 and nothing is showing up for the ACA visit. The "made in America" segment is scheduled for 8pm Central and I am presuming that it will be there. Does anyone have any better information?

Thanks, Bob

Nathan,

Can you check with your Buddy and see if he got the wrong date.
I just watched John Ratzenberger's Made in America, and American Champion was not on.

Yeah I wasted an hour also, but hey now we know how crayons and soup are made! Oh well. I'll see if I can't track down where things went haywire.

sorry about that.

Nathan,

I found it.
Your Buddy was only a month off. (better than a month late)
The American Champion Aircraft program is for March 22, March 23, and March 26.
If you want to check it out, I found it by going to
www.discovery.com Then click on Travel Channel, then John Ratzenberger's Made in America, then Premiere Episodes, then Hallmark Cards for March 22,23, or 26 and it says, Build a Stunt Plane and take it for a spin at American Champion Aircraft.
Mar. 22 at 9pm
Mar. 23 at 12am (midnight)
Mar. 26 at 4pm (I assume all times are EST)
I've written it down so I don't forget it.

Don,

Thanks very much! I did not see the post on the board until after the program was over, so this helps a lot! Will put this on the TIVO so I do not miss it again!
