1946 Aeronca 7AC LSA qualified 65hp

OK, so I haven't had this plane for a long time.....but hey the wife is giving me a hard time about this plane and my other two. So...instead of suffering for what Nathan refers to as AIDS, I told her I would list it and see what happen.

If anyone is looking for a nice flying 1946 7ac (LSA) wt 747.5 lbs this is it!
The plane had an annual done in Jan 2007 and at that time the hours were: 6730.4 TTAF and 1088.45 SMOH It has a long history with the Texas Air Mus. based out of Rio Hondo, TX

I obtained this plane from a guy in Lake Elmo, MN and flew it back to Alabama without any problems. 13 hours total flying time. This plane flys hands off. Since getting it in December, I have replaced the flying wires, rebuilt the oleos and have a new windshield for it The B-16 compass was also just rebuilt. The current glass has a small crack that has been repaired some time ago. This does not effect the windshield, just looks like a band-aid.

I bought this plane to build tail wheel time in and figured that I would just fly this thing for several years and not do anything to it. Well, I'm the tinkering type and I find myself wanting to work on this and that to improve the cosmetics instead of flying. I either need to buy a true project and build it the way it should be done or find a flying plane that does not need anything. The plane is painted olive green with grey bottoms. It has enough inspection plates on the wings to choke a cow, so anyone who wants to get a good look at the wing can do so.

If you are wanting a show plane, this is not your ticket. If you want a plane to fly, and enjoy building some time, as cheap as possible, then this might be your baby.

The plane is located just south of Birmingham, AL I would be glad to forward pictures if need be.
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff, you should fly over to Peachstate this weekend and put a 4-sale sticker in the window. Should be a good crowd there.

Hey Nathan,
That is what we have planned. As of last night, we have three planes that are committed. We are striving for a gagle of planes to make the trip over. We should arrive around 8:30 or 9:00AM

Hope to see you there!
