Need photos of headliner installation

Post by NC83401 »

The restoration of NC83401 is well underway. The fuselage has been sandblasted, primed and painted. All the wood has been replaced. We are ready to install the headliner. We do not have any installation instructions or drawings.

We would appreciate it if any or all of you would send us pictures or any other documentation of 7AC headliners. The closer the detail the better. Digital pictures can be sent to md80flyer@prodigy.net

Thanks

Marc,

Can't help you out, but just wonder if you have installed shoulder harnesses. If you want them, now is the time to do it. I would also consider making the zipper access wider so you can get your hands in for repair/adjustment to the trim lever and associated pulleys. I had to replace my trim cables last year, it was a dog to do with the stock zipper width.

Ed, we are installing Hooker shoulder harnesses using the American Champion service letter 421.

The headliner is from Airtex so modifying the zipper length is not an option at this time.

Thanks for the advice!

Marc,

Try using Google and use the image option. I think you will at least one example of a 7Ac headliner installed prior to covering.
