Stromberg overhaul manual and torque settings

Hi guys, decided to try and overhaul my Stromberg to start with. I have downloaded a bunch of info regarding float setup and needle types etc.
What i am missing is the Stromberg overhaul manual, believe it is a bout a 15 page document. Does anyone know if this manual is available somewhere to be downloaded? I don't mind paying for it but i need it asap.
What i need to know right now is the torque setting for the seat where the needle valve sits.

Do not want to rain on your parade, but do you have your A&P or are you working with an A&P on this? This is not minor maintenance and just wanted to make sure.

thanks for the info mikeK...that is exactly what i was after...WELL DONE!!!

And yes this is not something i would do on my own.....i actually don't have an ame helping me.... i thought it would be better if i had three :D :D :D .
Two of them are airline ame's that I fly with, that want to learn more about our little machine's. And the other is our local AME,local expert..
I think he was actually born in the back of a Champ :wink: :wink: .
The requested info is just to help me understand a little better, so i can stay in the loop so to speak.

I will second that, These are basic, but with small parts, even smaller passage ways and critical float setting at specfic fuel pressure.

The float setting, is enough to get you in trouble and looking for a trailer to retrive your plane from a few fields over.

If your A&P/AI is willing, work with him and get some good experience but if he says well I think ------, send it to a shop cost 200-400 with yellow tag and new parts if needed not just cleaned.

Out of the 10 A&P's here 2 do carbs and are setup for it along, with 1 that does the old mags and all are setup to test them before flight.

Boeing,

Glad to hear it. I am an A&P and would attempt this but I have a LOT of carb experience (try doing six webers on a 911 Porsche, or triple SU's on a Jag) but still this is something that needs to be done right.

Like Mike said, you do not want to be looking for a trailer to bring the plane back to the airport!

Pls let us know what all you found in the carb and how things went. I need to do this on my plane and have been putting it off (too much work) but this fall may be following in your footsteps.
