Laser Timing Tool

Post by Mnflyer »

Hi does anyone have the Laser Timing Tool as listed in the Wag-Aero cat or Aircraft Tools Cat. they sell for about $60.00 and I'm thinking of getting one and was wondering any of you have used it and what do you think of it.
PS its on page 41 of the Wag cat with the Grumman on the cover.

I use one - it works great on Lycomings, not so well on Continentals but can be made to work. For use on just a single owner aircraft it's probably difficult to justify the expense. I mean it doesn't make it THAT much easier to do a timing check.
