I sent a PDF file with what Aeronca sent to the now FAA along with the Equipment list of the items my champ was born with. You might want to go to the www.aeronca.com site and click under the Type Certificate A-759, there you will find W&B info & gross weight, CG limits and the weight and arm of all the optional items that might be on or hs benn taken off over the years.

You should also click on the link to get a copy of all the records that are on file at the FAA, only $5.00 when last checked.

To work up a W&B for your Aircraft will take some time if your logs & 337's are not all there, but it can be done.

Craig... your IA, who signs off your 7AC every year as airthworthy, should be able to help you construct/somplete this form.

There is not a specific approved W&B form for your airplane, like there is on new ones. Your FSDO should be privvy to this given that its a 1946 airplane. At least they are supposed to be.

I would think you could get by with any of the above suggestions as long as you have all the information. The more, the merrier.
1) All airplane info (S/N, N#, date, etc)
2) All actual weight info (Left/Right Main, Tail, tail to main distance, datum to main dist, etc)
3) Remove drainable oil / undrainable fuel...as needed
4) Have a little summary section (Empty, CG, Useful)

The other thing is...don't sweat a minor detail. Accuracy is nice, but not worth grounding an airplane over. Common sense be your guide.
