Finally a nice day!

After two weeks of below zero, wind or low ceilings we finally got a decent day for flying. Have about 4 inches of new powder on the snow base so every landing is like a "whoomp" if you feel it at all. I think this has been only my third or forth time out this winter. Either the weather had been lousy or something else crops up. 122.9 sounded like a talkathon today so everyone must have been breaking cabin fever. It's amazing how the little 65 horse performs in the cold weather, but it could use a few more horses to get off the ground with the ski drag.
Off next week to visit our youngest and his wife in San Antonio. Probably no ski flying there

.

I hear ya, Mike! Gorgeous day here in NW Illinois (SQI) also. Got almost 2 hours in on the Champ (but on wheels off pavement). It had been WAY too long! These are the days we wait for!

Its been a pain to deliver new stuff lately.
Maybe winter is finally breaking for us Wisconsinites.
Its like groundhog day:
"If Brett Farve throws an interception in OT, you will have 2 more weeks of sub zero weather"

Yea but sitting by the pool with a margarita in your hand in this nice weather will take your mind off of flying on skiis!

Joe: Never thought of it that way

. Actually, I'm supposed to meet a guy down there who recently bought a Luscomb

that a friend of mine's uncle bought brand new in 1959. Traced it down to the San Antonio area and I contacted the guy to have look at it. Might even get a ride : you never know.
Jerry: did you have to bring up the Packers and Farve's interception? I've been trying to forget

. Weather is improving though. It's +40 right now, but supposed to drop to -5 tomorrow night. Will someone explain to me why we live here (other than it's close to Oshkosh)?. If the weather is slowing down your deliveries, you must be selling planes. How about the new Champs?
