Aeronca Sedan Sunkist Lady

I see by looking at my EAA calendar that March 15, 1949 is the date given for the endurance record set by the Sunkist Lady. Just curious if anyone knows whether the airplane is still flying or in a museum some place. The length of flight was about 42 days.

Robert,

No idea on the "Sunkist Lady" but do have some info on the "City of Yuma" record setting Aeronca Sedan.

The "City of Yuma" airplane was at the CG fly-in several years ago but that was its last journey we are afraid. Its now in a museum in Yuma and we are told that it will not fly again.

Its in descent shape but a bit rough as its care has been handed from person to person, organization to organization over the years and some were good and some not so good.

Talks about the record. No pictures showing the N# so I couldn't check the FAA records to see if it still existed.
